CMC is hiring for two vital quality positions — Quality Inspector and Quality Process Technician (QPT) — both essential to delivering safe, consistent, and high-quality modular units. Position 1: Quality Inspector

The Quality Inspector ensures that modular units meet design specifications and quality standards at every phase of construction. You’ll work directly on the production floor, verifying work, documenting findings, and collaborating with teams to resolve issues and improve outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect modular units at key production stages (framing, MEP, finish)

• Verify builds against blueprints, specifications, and quality requirements

• Document inspections, identify non-conformities, and assist with corrective actions

• Partner with production teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes

• Ensure compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards

• Support continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• Preferred: Experience in modular or factory-based construction environments

• Strong understanding of construction processes and quality standards

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications

• High attention to detail with strong documentation and communication skills

• Collaborative, problem-solving mindset

• Physical capability to move through production areas for inspections

Position 2: Quality Process Technician (QPT)

The Quality Process Technician is a proactive, system-focused role that bridges inspection, engineering, and production. This position manages quality systems, analyzes defect data, drives root cause investigations, and leads process improvements that prevent future issues.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain the Digital Non-Conformance Report (DNCR) system

• Lead root cause analysis and manage corrective/preventive actions

• Digitize Quality Assurance Travelers (QATs) and support QMS documentation

• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and present findings to leadership

• Conduct process audits and manage internal red-tagging procedures

• Oversee the calibration program and deliver QMS-related training

• Serve as quality liaison with service providers and field service feedback loops

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing or construction (quality or supervisory preferred)

• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and process documentation

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with root cause analysis experience preferred

• Proficiency with spreadsheets and data tools (Excel, Google Sheets; BI tools a plus)

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments

• Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement
