Quality Inspector – 2nd Shift (4:15pm-2:45am Mon-Thurs)

Win-Tech, Inc. is an AS9100 Precision Machine Shop housed in a 20,000 sq. ft. facility located in Kennesaw, GA.  The company serves as a job and production shop serving a diversified customer base, primarily in the aerospace and defense industry. 

Position Responsibilities Include:

-          Use Customer supplied engineering documents (blueprints) to determine the most efficient and accurate method of inspection

-          Use manual inspection gauges and/or the CMM to perform inspection of 1st piece, in-process, and final parts submitted to Quality

-          Identify out of tolerance features or dimensions and report findings

-          Provide accurate and timely results – sometimes under time constraints with changing deadlines or priorities

-          Perform basic calibration of inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, indicators using gage blocks or other calibrated tools

-          Maintain a neat and organized workspace

-          Other duties as directed by the QC Manager

Position Qualifications:

-          Basic Computer Skills

-          Knowledge of AS9100 requirements

-          Thorough understanding and experience using GD&T (interpreting print requirements, general & flag notes, shown & opposite parts, true position, concentricity, etc.)

-          Proficient in the use of inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, thread gages, gage pins, etc.)

-          Ability to determine an appropriate method of inspection that will produce accurate results

-          Complete understanding of tolerances (use of tolerances, ability to determine out-of-tolerance dimensions or features)

-          Strong math skills (understanding decimals, geometry, trigonometry, etc.)

-          Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required

Education / Experience:

-          High School Diploma or Equivalent

-          Prior inspection experience is required

-          Prior CMM experience (running established programs: part set-up, running the program, interpreting the results, verifying any out-of-tolerance dimensions using an alternate method)

-          CMM programming experience is a plus (PC-DMIS w/CAD+ or CAD++ is preferred)
