Infintium is a team of engineers developing next generation small and medium fuel cell systems.  We are looking for active, driven, and self-motivated individuals to develop and support the systems, application control needs, and manufacturing and corporate operations for our growing list of fuel cell products in an aggressively expanding market. 

We are currently seeking a Quality Engineer to help us support our Quality Department in initiatives to put great products into our customer's hands and assist the company with all quality controls. 

As a Quality Engineer, the successful applicant will work independently and alongside all teams to support Infintium’s Quality Department and initiatives within the department.  The Quality Engineer will play a key role in ensuring that our products meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards. The ideal candidate must be capable of meeting goals with limited oversight while with the Engineering and Manufacturing departments. Must have knowledge within areas including, but not limited to quality control (product), quality assurance (process), supply chain RCA, and problem-solving within a manufacturing environment.

Description:

  • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure product reliability and consistency.
  • Conduct incoming inspections on components and final audits of finished goods identify defects and non-conformities.  Implement CAs to address findings and improve the process.
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide input for new products and processes to ensure quality requirements and standards are met.
  • Assist the Quality Manager in maintaining documentation and records related to quality assurance activities, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports.
  • Assist the Quality Manager in providing training and support to production teams on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Monitor and audit manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with internal quality standards and/or customer specifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Take the lead to eliminate chain issues observed during incoming inspection and production, etc. by initiating corrective actions and following through to validation of effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality engineering or related roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, such as ISO 9001 or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of internal audits of quality management systems to ISO standards.
  • Experience with quality tools and methodologies, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Control Plans, FMEAs, and statistical process control.
  • Strong knowledge of root cause analysis and tools to identify RC including 5 Whys, Ishikawa (Fishbone), etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.

Additional Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Risk management assessment skills
  • Understanding of customer needs and expectations
  • Ability to continuously learn and adapt to evolving quality practices and methodologies
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
