Quality Engineer

Summary:

The Quality Engineer develops and implements QMS documentation to support LSP Technologies’ processes and products.  This person participates in quality and manufacturing activities to support certification to AS9100, and continual improvement of the QMS.  The Quality Engineer reports to the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Support LSP Technologies’ certification to AS9100.
• Collaborate with process champions to develop technical documentation associated with processes and products that meet applicable requirements. 
• Promote the awareness of customer requirements.
• Conduct internal and supplier quality audits and prepare audit reports.
• Perform quality inspections for processes and products according to applicable specifications and procedures.
• Plan and implement improvement actions and evaluate results for effectiveness.
• Develop and provide quality training and evaluate results for effectiveness.
• Perform data analysis and reporting to support qualifications for processes and products.
• Conduct studies to validate and improve manufacturing quality and measurement systems.
• Maintain quality metrics and present process reports to management reviews.
• Conduct supply chain performance evaluations and risk assessments.
• Assume the responsibilities of the Quality Manager in case of his/her absence.
• Support LSP Technologies’ Mission, Vision, Goals, and Quality Objectives.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills:

• Microsoft software competent: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 (AS9100 preferred)
• Manufacturing quality analysis (SPC, Process Capability, Gauge R&R, FMEA)
• Competent oral and written communication skills (technical and interpersonal)
• Ability to collaborate with staff to create a team-oriented environment focused on results 

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• Quality Management Systems auditing.
