Location: Virden, Manitoba - Field-based across Southern Manitoba and Saskatchewan

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a background in construction and a passion for ensuring quality workmanship? RFNOW Inc. is looking for a dedicated Quality Control Inspector to join our team and play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct quality control inspections on FTTH construction projects, ensuring adherence to company standards.
• Verify property restoration meets RFNOW’s established practices.
• Operate test equipment to confirm optical and RF power levels are set as designed.
• Document underground vaults, cabinets, and other installations through photos and/or videos.
• Create work orders to address non-compliant construction elements.
• Communicate construction progress concerns with the Project Manager or Supervisor.
• Perform emergency locates as required.
• Adhere to industry-specific local, provincial, and federal regulations.
• Assist with other duties as needed to support the team.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction, maintenance, and repair of outside plant (OSP) fibreoptic networks.
• Strong knowledge of safe construction practices for aerial and underground communications networks.
• Problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, system maps, and general layouts.
• Experience using computer or test equipment relevant to the role (e.g., signal level meters, ohm meters).
• Valid Class 5 driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Work Environment & Details:
• Field-based role involving varied environmental conditions and extensive walking.
• Travel throughout Southern Manitoba and Saskatchewan with some overnight stays.
• Monday to Friday schedule with potential weekend work as business needs dictate.
