Quality Control Inspector

Independence, LA Full-time $17.00-$21.00/hour
Job Summary:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the required standards of quality before they are released for production or sale. This includes inspecting materials, conducting tests, measuring products, and analyzing data to maintain consistency and efficiency in the production process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and Test Materials: Conduct regular inspections and tests on raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with company standards.

  • Use Measurement Tools: Accurately measure products using tools such as gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments to ensure proper dimensions and tolerances.

  • Collect and Analyze Data: Gather quality data during the inspection process, analyze trends, and generate reports to identify any recurring issues or areas for improvement.

  • Monitor Operations: Continuously observe and assess production processes to detect deviations from established procedures and ensure all safety, quality, and regulatory standards are met.

  • Ensure Compliance: Verify that products and processes meet both internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements.

  • Document Findings: Maintain clear and precise records of inspections, tests, and measurements to support quality assurance procedures and audits.

  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with production, engineering, and other departments to resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and improve processes.

  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively contribute to process improvements and suggest solutions for enhancing product quality, operational efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Attention to Detail: Strong ability to identify minute discrepancies in materials and finished products and ensure strict adherence to quality standards.

  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of quality control techniques, tools, and standards used in the industry.

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify problems and implement corrective actions quickly and effectively.

  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in collecting, interpreting, and presenting data to support decision-making.

  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to document findings and collaborate with team members.

  • Experience: Previous experience in quality control, manufacturing, or a similar field is preferred. Knowledge of ISO standards or other quality certifications is a plus.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a technical or associate’s degree in a related field is preferred.

Working Conditions:
  • Full-time position
  • M-F 6:00 am - 4:30 pm , some saturdays  ( 50 plus hours per week) 
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and equipment
