JOB DESCRIPTION    

 

POSITION SUMMARY:  

Supervises all inspection personnel assigned to the Quality Control Department, designee Inspectors, and RII. 

 

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 


  1. Ensuring that inspection personnel are compliant and familiar with all policies, procedures and regulations. 

  1. Ensures the continued airworthiness of company operated aircraft through the institution and administration of surveillance program for the approved maintenance program, procedures and operation.  

  1. Ensure all inspections are properly performed on all completed work before it is returned to service and that inspection records, reports; and forms used by Comlux are correctly executed. 

  1. Continued monitoring of aircraft logbooks and inspection records to assure that internal programs are functioning as designated. 

  1. Interprets specifications and/or job orders to inspection personnel and assign duties as required. 

  1. Establishes and/or adjusts the Quality Control Department work schedules. 

  1. Recommends measures to improve quality control methods, performance, and the quality of the product, and suggest changes in working conditions to increase efficiency and or safety. 

  1. Follows up on correction of discrepancy items with designated departments. 

  1. Performs other duties as assigned.  

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC: 

 

  1. Valid FAA A&P License. 

  1. Minimum of 10+ years experience as A&P Technician. 

  1. Minimum 5+ years experience in a part 145 EASA and FAA environment. 

  1. Advanced knowledge of Excel and Access.   

  1. Excellent written and verbal skills to effectively convey information accurately. 

  1. Strong knowledge of RSQM, FAR, FAA and EASA guidelines for airworthiness. 

  1. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language. 

  1. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, aircraft drawings, wiring diagrams and other engineering documentation. 

  1. Proficient knowledge and expertise with all aspects of Maintenance and Inspection procedures. 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

 

  1. Prefer two years college or technical training in aviation. 

  1. Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel or similar programs. 

  1. Ability to work multiple tasks while under pressure. 

  1. Ability to make rational decisions while under pressure. 

  1. Prefer a strong attention to detail.  

  1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  1. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. 

  1. Ability to work weekends, nights, rotating shifts and holidays when required. 

  1. Ability to obtain a U.S. passport and travel overseas.

The location where this position works is in an aircraft hangar environment which is subject to weather changes, constant exposure to loud noise, potential contact with hazardous waste material and other safety hazards such as aircraft, steps, interior components: divans, chairs, other cabinets etc.
