Job Description

Lead the organization's food safety activities in all respects to assure safe food manufacturing. This includes oversight of HACCP and SQF processes including production, thermal processing, equipment validations as well as the completion and documentation of all food safety activities. 

Responsibilities

  • Monitor performance of the HACCP system and food safety plans for effectiveness
  • Identify process deficiencies and opportunities for improvement, focusing on root cause analysis and implementing changes
  • Conduct internal reviews and coordinate external audit activities

Qualifications

  • Food manufacturing experience in quality assurance roles
  • Previous leadership experience in food safety or quality assurance roles desirable
  • Well versed in Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP & SQF certification
  • Process improvement experience with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Detail oriented with strong auditing, root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Must work well in a team environment and have strong communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with 5 years industry experience
