Position Summary:

The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for working with a Quality Assurance and Compliance (QAC) Manager. The main tasks may involve assisting the QAC Manager in sampling, assessing, and verifying that the agency meets certain standards, assists in the development/revision, formatting and editing of program guidelines, coordinates and supports the development/implementation of quality assurance programs, creates power point slide presentations, and learns management systems. Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle confidential situations.

Essential Functions:

1.       Navigate agency policies and procedures with knowledge of day-to-day departmental operations, LDH regulations, and health-related documentation, as it pertains to both employees and members, within best practices of confidentiality and privacy as it applies to each individual situation.

2.       Conduct internal audits and qualitatively and quantitatively report compliance to QAC Manager.

3.       Assist the QAC Manager in current and upcoming data collection and quality projects.

4.       Implement and monitor the Quality Assurance programs of the agency.

5.       Maintain Program Policies and Procedures manual (PPM) - revising, updating, and developing policies as needed.

6.       Demonstrate ability to answer quality questions without the help of the QAC Manager.

7.       Organize work assigned by QAC Manager, sets priorities, meets deadlines, and follows assignments with minimal direction.

8.       Assist in organizing data for weekly/monthly/annual meetings, presentations, and informational purposes.

9.       Assist the QAC Manager in educating and training personnel on all compliance matters.

10.    Complete assignments accurately, in a timely manner, and within procedural guidelines.

11.    Display a willingness to help others; assist with other departments as necessary.

12.    Contribute to the overall performance improvement of the agency/department.

13.    Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

 

Educational/Experience Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree preferred plus 2 years administrative assistant experience.

·         Experience in writing policies and procedures preferred.

·         Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to tailor communication and training to individual needs; ability to engage large audiences.

·         Ability to work with multiple entities facilitating group meetings among those with varying opinions

·         Experience with project management.

·         Preferred Working knowledge of computer and software expertise, including Business Intelligence programs, Excel, and Word.

·         Savvy with data interpretation, utilization, and reporting.

·         Advanced written and oral communication skills.

·         Knowledge of agency QI goals.

·         Strong customer-service skills and aptitude for building solid relationships with stakeholders.

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

·         Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively as a team member and communicate technical information and concepts to line staff.

·         Demonstrated ability to work with various departments, learning their individual job flow and program processes.



Qualifications/Skills:

Strong organizational and analytical skills. Working knowledge of personal computer and software applications. Must successfully complete First Aid/CPR certification.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, pick-up/carry up to 25lbs with or without accommodation.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, exempt position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Travel to various sites and external meetings as needed/required.
