Our Air Division supports industrial, energy, and turnaround operations by providing reliable breathing air, monitoring, and safety watch services in high-risk environments. We are currently seeking Safety Watch Personnel to support Air Division operations during turnaround and project work. This position is a dual-role function, requiring personnel to perform both Safety Watch and Breathing Air (Bottle) Watch duties. This role is an excellent opportunity to build or advance a career in industrial safety and field operations.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Watch Personnel are responsible for supporting safe execution of work by monitoring conditions, personnel, and equipment in active work zones. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Monitor safe work practices for assigned job operations and equipment
• Perform daily inspections of work areas and ongoing site hazard assessments
• Conduct and participate in safety meetings, drills, and field inspections
• Monitor emergency planning zones and changing site conditions
• Initiate stop-work authority when unsafe or high-risk conditions are identified
• Maintain constant visual contact and clear communication with workers and supervisors
• Perform dual-role duties, including:
  • Confined Space Watch
  • Breathing Air / Bottle Watch
• Monitor breathing air supply systems, bottle pressures, change-out requirements, and hose management as required
• Support emergency response activities as directed
• Complete required documentation and reports accurately and in a timely manner
• Perform other duties as assigned to support Air Division operations

Physical & Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to safely perform work in demanding industrial environments, including:

• Walking stairs and slopes
• Working at heights
• Working outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, wind)
• Standing for extended periods
• Frequent walking, sometimes on uneven ground
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling equipment up to 40 lbs
• Wearing respiratory protection and other required PPE

Required Certifications (Must Be Current)

• H2S Alive
• Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
• Standard First Aid with CPR/AED (Level A or C)
• Fire Watch Certificate

• Must be clean shaven when required for respiratory protection
• Must be able to lift/carry and push/pull up to 40 lbs
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is required for safety reasons, candidate will be required to pass language comprehension testing
• Ability to pass pre-employment and pre-access drug & alcohol testing
• Ability to travel and work in remote locations for extended periods
• Ability to work day and night shifts
• Strong attention to detail and effective verbal and written communication skills
• Safety-conscious with demonstrated fitness for work in a safety-sensitive role
• Computer and internet access for required online training
• Clean Class 5 Driver’s License is considered an asset

Experience Requirements

• Safety Watch experience: Minimum 2 years (required)
• Breathing Air / Bottle Watch experience: Minimum 2 years (required)
• Industrial or general labor experience: Minimum 1 year (required)
