QA Analyst

As an integral member of the Quality Assurance (QA) team the QA Analyst will work in collaboration with the engineering team to test and validate from end-to-end the Videri platform solution. The QA Analyst will be tasked with creating and executing QA test plans in both automated and manual test processes. While at the same time, QA Analyst will be expected to communicate risk and project status to their stakeholders. As a gauge of quality you will also provide valuable technical feedback to the engineering team to deliver a robust, ease-of-use product based on the business requirements. Key Responsibilities 

• Maintain, develop and execute QA Test Plans, checklists, and scenarios for software and hardware devices using both black box and white box testing methodologies. 

• Document and log all defects encountered during the test cycle and development phases. 

• Provide feedback and guidance to the development team during the debugging process efficiently. 

• Verify and validate product requirements and issues that have been addressed by the development team.

 • Collaborate with the team to deliver products with a high level of quality on schedule. 

• Work with QA team members effectively in a collaborative environment. 

• Document and report effectively daily activities to QA leadership. 

Required Skills

The successful candidate should possess and demonstrate the following skills:

• Thorough knowledge of the best practices on creation of Quality Assurance test plans, test cases, scenarios, and testing checklists using white box and black box test methodologies 

• Proficiency in industry standard QA testing tools, such as JIRA / Confluence, Bugzilla, etc

• Ability to follow both the standard path as well as thinking outside-of-box during.

• Familiarity with programs such as Postman, Selenium, as well as an understanding of test script creation (e,g Bash) 

• Have the skill to communicate, clearly and concisely, in written and verbal forms. 

• Multi-disciplined on software, such as Mobile (iOS and Android) apps, web-based tools, and gateways. 

• Ability to focus and maintain dedication for product deliverables and willing to see the job completed to maintain deadlines. 

• Be proactive and highly motivated to identify gaps and help act upon them. 

• Have the ability to work independently and within a team environment. 

• Be able to take direction with ease and execute on provided tasks. 

• Be detail orientated.

• Minimum of 2-5yrs of Quality Assurance/Software testing experience 

• Excellent written skills in English. 

Preferred Skills

• Computer Science degree or relevant diploma 

• Experienced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g Excel, Word, Powerpoint) or equivalent. 

• Knowledge in and around Databases.

• Functional knowledge in ADB (Android debug monitoring systems).

• Functional knowledge in JAVA, JavaScript, HTML5, and Python.

• Functional knowledge in a Cloud environment.

Additional Skills

• Practical knowledge of electronics and systems integration.

• Have a knowledge and passion about latest technologies, especially as it relates to digital signage.

• Knowledge of advancements and utilization in the AI field.
