The Position
Tikun Olam Adelanto, LLC is looking to hire a Purchasing Manager to work with our fast-paced, growing medical cannabis business in order to help us continue to Repair the World. We are seeking an individual who can support our Distribution and Fulfillment, Sales, and overall Operations Departments by ordering supplies and materials that are needed to keep our customers content and wanting more.

The company’s global mission is to research, develop, and provide efficacious, data-based cannabis treatments to help those in need. Operating as a commercial venture for over 10 years. Tikun Olam’s products have been used since 2010 in clinical trials in Israel’s regulated medical cannabis market, treating over 20,000 patients with a variety of symptoms and medical conditions. Through this access to patients, medical personnel, and data collection. Tikun Olam has developed multiple proprietary strains, including the first-ever, high-CBD, “high-less†strain—Avidekel.
Responsibilities
The Purchasing Manager will work directly with the Distribution-Operations, Sales, and Accounting Departments to ensure that orders are being placed. Ensuring that purchases are recorded at the time of request, and submitting the respective orders to get approval from the Distribution, Manufacturing, and Sales Departments. Responsibilities are as follows, but not limited to:
Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment
Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures (i.e. SOP’s)
Schedule shipping (incoming and outgoing)
Maintain records of all shipments and orders in an organized manner
Coordinates with the vendor activities by speaking directly to the vendors to gather pricing data and maintain their contact information, along with relationships
Maintain detailed records of purchases, including quantities, shipping information, costs associated with the purchase
Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs for the Accounting Department
Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
Develop metrics for inventory level needs and then maintaining those levels throughout the year
Manage the company’s day-to-day purchasing activities
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field
Must have 5+ in purchasing management experience
Experience with Microsoft D365 is a plus
Experience working in accounting is a plus
Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
Great mathematical skills to ensure calculations are correct
Excellent clerical and service skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Great attention to detail
Compensation
Due upon experience, but ranges from $23-$25
