HOURLY WAGE: $24.00/hr
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Purchasing Assistant. This position will be responsible for coordinating all material orders for our field construction team and working closely with the Purchasing Manager to achieve various company goals and initiatives.
HOURS
This is a full-time position. Standard working schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in all aspects of the ordering and supply process as directed by the Purchasing Manager
- Update and maintain existing purchase orders
- Processes incoming order requests and communicates status to appropriate team members
- Responds to inquiries, requests for orders, and other misc. information
- Assist accounts payable, matching material delivered to invoices received
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Uphold/cultivate good supplier relationships
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management / seek direction from the Purchasing Manager as needed to perform tasks effectively
- Compose material submittal packages for various projects

- Demonstrate the ability to assist in all aspects of the ordering and supply process
- Demonstrate the ability to maintain accurate records
- Demonstrate the ability to respond to inquiries about orders and other misc. information and resolve any issues that may arise
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth operations
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
Knowledge – Possess working knowledge of landscape or related industries.
Abilities – Motivated self-starter with demonstrated ability to work both independently and with others in a team environment with the ability to multitask, prioritize workload, manage time, and handle tight deadlines. Display respect for confidentiality. Must have advanced computer skills and related software packages (Advanced skills in Microsoft Office & Windows is a must.
Education – An associate’s degree or higher discipline is strongly preferred.
Experience – One to three years of experience in administrative coordination or purchasing.
Skills – Exhibit a strong regard for organizing and prioritizing, as well as an ability to meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
