Public Space Attendant

The Inn at Chesapeake Bay Beach Club is seeking a dedicated Public Space Attendant to join our team. As a Public Space Attendant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our public spaces, promote a positive image of the property to guests. This is a full-time or part-time position to work nights, days, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Clean lobby, hallways, and restrooms at the Inn and Barn.
• Clean glass of front and rear lobby entrances.
• Clean event spaces according to schedule of events.
• Cleans and maintains restaurant floors on designated days.
• Cleans Spa in accordance with checklist on designated days.
• Polishes furniture, decor, and fixtures at The Inn and Barn Hotel.
• Move furniture to vacuum and mop underneath, replace furniture.
• Vacuums, mops, wipes down elevator doors, inside elevators and elevator landing areas.
• Cleans rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom and shampoo machine.
• Sweeps, dust mops and wet mops floors.
• Remove trash collected by room attendants and take to dumpster.
• Take cardboard to recycling.
• Performs stayover service as requested by guest once housekeeping attendants shift end.
• Delivers guest supplies as requested by guest and/or FD or management.
• Report maintenance issues to maintenance department, supervisor, or front desk.
• Assists guests in Public Areas when required.
• Wash, dry and fold linens and rags.
• Clean public spaces and events as directed by management.
• May be asked to assist with pool area: to include but not limited to: pool bathrooms, pool house, rolling towels, rotating clean towels and soiled towels (VA LINEN), collecting trash, maintaining a clean and well-kept pool area.
• Complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Competencies:

• Experience in custodial or housekeeping management preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques and industrial cleaning practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a hospitality or hotel environment.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.

Compensation

• $18.00 an hour.

Work Environment:
