Public Safety Support Clerk
The Town of Cohasset, an active waterfront community on the South Shore, is looking for on-call Public Safety Support Clerks to join the Police Department team. Overnight, Night, Weekend, and some holiday availability is essential.
General Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of routine and complex clerical, administrative, and technical duties, including, but not limited to:
- Running computer checks on missing and wanted individuals
- Entering police information into state and federal police computer systems
- Filing records
- Filling requests for public records
- Returning impounded vehicles and property to citizens
- Assisting members of the public and police department as directed
- Prisoner watch/suicide prevention
- Answer phones, and log messages and requests for departmental staff and management
- Answer general questions regarding Police work
- As assigned, prepare, send necessary correspondence and follow up on inquiries
Minimum requirements include:
A high School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
Salary: Per Diem/ On- Call PT-5 step 12 $22.45 hourly
