We are looking for a Public Infrastructure Department Manager to join our Overland Park, KS team.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage engineering analysis, design, and plan production for various infrastructure projects, such as transportation, bridge, traffic engineering, and water/wastewater.
Perform business development tasks, including establishing and maintaining client relationships, identifying project leads, and securing work for the team.
Develop and review project proposals and scopes of work to meet client schedules and budgets.
Manage team performance, utilization, and project assignments, ensuring on-time and on-budget project delivery while maintaining high-quality service.
Ensure the department meets or exceeds budgets and goals through effective annual planning efforts.
Foster staff growth and development through training and mentorship.
Coordinate labor, equipment resources, and hiring needs as workload demands.
Assist in proposal development efforts, including writing technical content, seeking input from teammates, meeting deadlines, and collaborating with external subconsultants.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
Active PE License
Minimum of 15 years of experience in the AEC industry.
Strong aptitude for business development activities.
Experience in leading teams of engineers, designers, and technicians.
Excellent skills in managing multiple objectives, clients, contractors, third parties, and internal team members.
Proficiency in determining project requirements, setting project scopes, and establishing design and construction budgets.
Ability to meet critical deadlines through efficient time management and effective communication.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
