The Psychologist provides comprehensive mental health care services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of emotional, behavioral, and psychological disorders. Working in compliance with Connecticut Department of Public Health and American Psychological Association (APA) standards, the Psychologist delivers evidence-based therapies, conducts psychological testing, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to promote patient well-being and mental health recovery.

Key Responsibilities-
Conduct psychological evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and clinical interviews for patients of varying ages and backgrounds.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed therapy).

Provide individual, group, couples, and family therapy as appropriate to patient needs.

Administer and interpret psychological and neuropsychological tests as clinically indicated.

Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.

Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, and other mental health professionals to ensure coordinated care.

Provide crisis intervention, risk assessment, and safety planning for patients in distress.

Participate in case conferences, peer consultations, and quality improvement initiatives.

Stay informed about current research, best practices, and ethical guidelines in psychology.

Maintain licensure, continuing education, and professional certifications in accordance with Connecticut state laws and APA requirements.

Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology from an APA-accredited program.

Active and unrestricted Connecticut Psychologist License (issued by the Connecticut Department of Public Health).

Completion of an APA-approved internship and postdoctoral supervised experience as required by state regulations.

Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred (post-licensure).

Strong diagnostic and therapeutic skills with proficiency in standardized assessments.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Must be available a minimum of 3 days per week; flexibility for evening or weekend appointments preferred.

Experience with diverse populations and a variety of mental health conditions (e.g., mood disorders, trauma, substance use, developmental issues).

Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual care delivery under Connecticut telehealth regulations.

Specialized training in child/adolescent, neuropsychology, trauma, or behavioral medicine a plus.
