Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

What You’ll Do:
· Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including physical and psychosocial evaluations.
· Diagnose mental health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
· Prescribe medications and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
· Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests.
· Provide counseling on topics such as substance use, lifestyle, and illness prevention.
· Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
· Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
· Perform related duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
· Master’s degree in Psychiatric or Mental Health Nursing from an accredited program.
· Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) by the ANCC.
· Active and unrestricted license to practice in Alabama.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with serious mental illness or substance use disorders (preferred).
· Strong clinical judgment, empathy, and communication skills.
