Tasks and responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and management of Non-Process Infrastructure projects within the mining sector;
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulations, and safety protocols;
- Manage and allocate resources efficiently for optimal project execution;
- Develop and implement engineering, procurement and construction strategies to meet project goals and objectives;
- Foster collaboration and effective communication among engineering, procurement and construction teams;
- Define scope requirements for functional teams to ensure that all areas of scope, cost and schedule are adequately addressed;
- Implement plans to identify and manage risk in area scope delivery;
- Manager the co-ordination with other project areas to ensure that there total project outcomes are optimised;
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address issues;
- Coordinate with stakeholders to achieve project goals;
- Provide leadership and guidance to engineering teams under supervision;
- Analyse data and reports to make informed decisions for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline.
- Project management qualifications highly regarded
- Registered with the Quebec Order of Engineers (OIQ)
- Bilingual (able to communicate with clients and stakeholders in English and French)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

- Project management skills in developing scopes, costs and schedules

- Review and evaluate engineering designs, construction strategies and project controls outputs
- High degree of business acumen
- 8 to 10+ years of experience in construction and project management
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to form strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Familiarity with client and stakeholder coordination in an engineering and construction context
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting for performance assessment
- Ability to conduct thorough site inspections and evaluations
- Collaborative skills to work with functions and other areas in scope delivery
- Leadership qualities to motivate and guide engineering, procurement and construction teams
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale projects
