Summary of Duties

Responsible for overall direct supervision of Residential Support Services participants. Supervises Direct Support Professional staff. Serves as assistant to the Director in staff development, evaluation and maintenance of operational design.

Starting pay: $37,568

Essential Functions: 

  • Establishes and maintains operating policies and procedures of the Home Emergency Living Program.
  • Makes daily decisions required in the operation of the program.
  • Communicates with Director regarding program activities and attends meetings as necessary. 
  • Obtains clearance from Director before implementing operational changes that affect participants.
  • Monitors Direct Support Professionals regularly while service is in operation. Completes performance evaluations.
  • Maintains, reviews and completes all service documentation (ISP's, progress notes, reports, etc.). 
  • Submits all monthly records to be placed in participant's file in program office.
  • Assists support staff with completing and submitting incident reports within 24 hours.
  • Performs case management duties, as needed, including development/implementation of service plans.
  • Provides 10 hours of direct service per week to monitor and assure quality services.
  • Coordinates monthly circle/staff meetings to measure participants' progress.
  • Trains participants to recruit, select, schedule and evaluate their DSP staff.
  • Coordinates and oversees scheduling of service to participants.
  • Remains on-call for emergencies and scheduling needs of participants and staff they are supervising.
  • Contributes to the development of a positive relationship with the community and other agencies.

Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree in human services or related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of one year supervisory experience.
  • Letter of completion from DSP training program or one year experience as DSP can be substituted for degree.
  • Smart phone with data plan required.
  • Driving position - must have valid license, brake tag, insurance and clean driving record.
