Essential Duties & Responsibilities: The Program Coordinator is responsible for providing program training, coordination and support for the day-to-day management of the National Health Corps (NHC) Florida AmeriCorps program.

Specific Activities:
Program Coordination
Coordinate the recruitment, screening, interview, placement and onboarding process for new AmeriCorps members under the guidance of the Program Director.
 Assess AmeriCorps member training needs prior to program start date to guide and inform annual member training plan.
Develop and facilitate training components for pre-service orientation, monthly eight-hour AmeriCorps member in-service training, committees, mid-year retreat and other specialized trainings that coincide with National Health Corps (NHC) core competencies as well as the professional needs of AmeriCorps members in each cohort.
Oversee, develop, coordinate, implement and evaluate each monthly eight-hour AmeriCorps member in-service training.
Establish and maintain liaisons with community agencies for member professional development, training and service opportunities.
Manage and monitor AmeriCorps member committee projects by providing leadership to ensure accountability and providing training for professional development
Review AmeriCorps member hours and daily service activity documentation to ensure proper compliance with NHC polices and provisions
 Maintain proper, accurate, up-to-date and organized program documentation including time off requests, training forms and approval forms.
Consult with Program Director to develop resolutions for member behavior, performance or reporting issues.
Manage, monitor and develop content for NHC communication initiatives through social media and in the community
 Plan, organize and coordinate special events, including but not limited to a mid-year retreat and member recognition ceremony.
Assist Program Director with AmeriCorps service activities, trainings, team meetings and other program functions as required.
Assist AmeriCorps members with service activities and special events including, but not limited to MLK Day of Service, 9/11 Day of Remembrance, Mayor’s day of service, AmeriCorps Week, etc.
Attend in-services, conferences, workshops and community meetings for professional development.
Participate in National Health Corps AmeriCorps initiatives.

Other:
All other duties as assigned by the Program Director.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in human services, health or early childhood. At least two years experience working with community services, program development, community development, youth development, volunteer management or national services.
May substitute five years work experience in the public health or education field. 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external clients and staff.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude. 
Ability to work flexible traditional and non-traditional work hours.
Leadership, coaching or mentoring experience.
Experience in verbal and written presentations.
AmeriCorps service or other volunteering experience.
Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills/
Event and program planning experience.
Website and social media content development experience.
 Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
 Must be able to communicate effectively and be a team player at the Coalition.
Must be able to commit to the Coalition vision and be passionate about its mission.
Requires reliable transportation as travel is required, valid driver license, good driving record and automobile insurance.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, and other federal, state and local standards.
Must be able to travel to alternate locations.
Required to sit, stand, walk, speak and hear while performing the duties of this job, regularly. The position requires extensive computer use so the employee must have sufficient hand dexterity to use a computer keyboard and be capable of reading a computer screen
