Salary Range:                    $117,00-$139,200/year DOE/DOQ

 

Employee Benefits:

1.       HL7N pays 100% of the insurance premium for Full-time Employees (32 hours+). 

2.       HL7N pays $6,000 per year toward employee out of pocket costs for medical/dental/ vision utilizing the Navia HRA Debit Card.

  • $75,000 Life Insurance, Short and Long-Term disability after 90 days. HL7N pays 100% of the Life Insurance premium for Full-time Employees (32 hrs.+).
  • Annually Employees receive 12 paid holidays; 20 Paid-Time-Off (PTO) days per year after the employee has been employed FTE (32 hrs.+) and achieve successful 90-days performance evaluation rating.
  • 403(b) Thrift Savings Plan with the HL7N maximum pension contribution of 4%, completed 12 months of employment (1,000 hrs.) and successful performance evaluation rating.
  • Healing Lodge employment may qualify for the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program.

About the Company

The Healing Lodge of the Seven Nations is a youth residential treatment facility that provides a safe and caring healing environment for adolescents (13 years old – 17; male and females).  The Healing Lodge has a bed capacity of 45 with a individual 90 day to 120 day treatment program.  The inpatient treatment campus is a 51 acres peaceful environment providing a treatment balanced in traditional, cultural and spiritual values and practices. These values and practices foster respect, honesty, generosity, strong cultural identification and hope for positive life changes.  The Healing Lodge treatment program integrates traditional, spiritual and cultural values with chemical dependency and mental health counseling to create a holistic approach toward healing.  Residents include both Native American and non-Native from all areas of the country.

 

About the Position                                                                                        

The Program and Support Services Director is responsible for planning, organizing, assigning, and directing the management of a multi-discipline support service department for a youth residential treatment center. Provides leadership for staff to implement effective processes, and directing the overall operation of department functions in accordance with policies and procedures, current federal, state and accreditation standards, guidelines and regulation governing our facility to ensure ongoing high level of delivery of quality service program services.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. The Department Director’s mission is to maintain and improve upon operations in support of the HL7N mission and vision in the delivery of the highest level of customer service for adolescents with substance use and co-occurring disorders. 

 

  1. Works with the Executive Director to ensure coordination and continuity of the program services, activities and support are provided for the HL7N Residents.   
  2. Provide consistent direction and supervision to supervisees with a focus on ensuring appropriate coverage for the number of residents and shifts, and delivery of quality and continuity of program services, activities and clinical care service support.
  3. Manage and forecast the multi-discipline service and support program budget (education, culture, expressive arts, physical health, cafeteria, outings) staffing and program activities operations.
  4. Create, in conjunction with the Executive Director an annual Department Quality Program Performance & Improvement Plan with goals and objectives that are in line with the Department operation mission and HL Strategic Plan.
  5. Ensure timely delivery of program services and that the program’s milieu serves the individual needs of each client.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure the effective delivery of the Program and Support by monitoring client needs and assisting in enhancing and developing services to address identified unmet needs.
  7. Work to recruit, hire, retain and train staff for the positions so they are able to perform at a high level by promoting the enhancement of positive staff morale to include completing performance evaluations and corrective actions in a timely manner.

9.    Manage & monitor timely responses to operational problems ensuring thorough and accurate internal and external communications. Lead and coach on facilitation of positive and supportive problem-solving solutions.

  1. Develop and maintain a good rapport with the inpatient/outpatient clinical care plan teams to ensure that a team approach is utilized in developing and maintaining a comprehensive treatment plan of care for residents.
  2. Meet with staff on a regular basis, to develop, conduct and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of each program, and creating quality improvement strategies
  3. Collaborate effectively and professionally with external partners, vendors, community members to achieve organizational goals.
  4. Audit activity functions periodically to assure that quality control measures are maintained and work collaboratively with the compliance office on any corrective actions.
  5. Maintain current on industry improvements in the delivery of support services adapting operations to ensure positive results are achieved in performance of programs and services.
  6. Prepare, provide and deliver executive level reports to the Executive Director and the Board on Department, performance improvement strategies, services delivery outcomes and grants compliance.
  7. Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

 

Minimum Qualifications                                                                             

 

Education and Experience:

·         Master’s Degree or Doctorate Degree (preferred) from an accredited University in social service management, public health administration, or related field

·         Up to five years progressively advanced administration at the Department Director level work experience within the youth residential treatment (preferred), social service or behavioral health setting in administration and supervision of multi-disciplined healthcare professionals. 

·         Knowledge and experience working with Native American communities preferred.

Certificates, Licenses and Registration:

·         Must be a minimum of 21 years old

·         Must become CPR and First Aid certified

·         Possess a Washington State driver’s license free of driving restrictions.

·         Must be able to read and write proficiently in English for Documentation and Daily Reports

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

·         Work and knowledge of financial and preparation of budgets and forecast expenditures

·         Read, interpret and application of technical information

·         Apply and explain laws, regulations as they apply to the health field with a focus on an adolescent population who suffer from addiction to alcohol and drugs and co-occurring disorder in an inpatient environment

·         Learn and apply Health Information systems, software and adapt to changes in technology

·         Knowledge, Skills and Ability to apply positive and supportive management model techniques in daily operations

·         Possesses flexibility with frequent interruptions.

·         Capable of adapting to a wide range of physical, emotional and social environments.

·         Ability to rationally detach from difficult situations remaining neutral with aggressive behaviors.

·         Possess knowledge of American Indian/Alaska Native clientele who suffer from historical and generational trauma.

·         Maintains flexibility with employees shift tasks and priorities.

·         Possesses strong skill set of concentration and attention to detail.

 

 

Computer Skills:

·         To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position directly supervises administrative, program, shift employees and contractors directly and indirectly. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

 

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; monitoring performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
