Program Analyst
Job Description
Supports the Geothermal Technologies Office in project management activities including, but not limited to, Funding Opportunity Announcements, Merit Reviews, Peer Reviews, and project management support through closeout for grants and cooperative agreements. Support involves day to day interactions with internal parties such as legal, contracting, NEPA, and communications; as well as external communication with project recipients in academia, private industry, and National Laboratories. Will provide programmatic planning and logistic support requiring attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks. The ideal candidate would have excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills; project management experience; interest in Geothermal and related technologies.
Required Skills:
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
- Self-starter, an ability to work both independently and as part of a highly dynamic collaborative team
- Ability to balance multiple long and short term projects and competing priorities
- Professional attitude
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working within EERE Programs
- Familiarity and/or working knowledge of Geothermal technologies and/or Oil and Gas Technologies
- Experience in grant management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- PMP certification
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (project management, sustainable energy, earth science, energy management, or other related disciplines)
- 4+ years’ experience
