Production Welder

Duties and Requirements:

• Performs primarily MIG and some TIG welding operations. As a part of the operation, the employee will perform cutting and burning operations using thermal-cutting equipment such as flame-cutting torch or plasma-arc equipment. Must often grind, flap disc, weld joint before welding together. 

• Inspect welds to ensure conformance with specifications.

• Meticulous attention to safety and product quality.   

• Overtime work as assigned.

• Minimum high school diploma/GED equivalency.

• Prefer candidates who have certification in flat mild steel in MIG ANSI/AWS D1.1-96 (will be recertified at Morse when ready). 

• Must be able to work within a team of production welders. 

• Must be able to measure with a ruler and read shop drawings. 

• Prefer experience in lean manufacturing techniques and methodologies.

• Computer familiarity.
