Duties and Requirements:

Performs primarily MIG and some TIG welding operations. As a part of the operation, the employee will perform cutting and burning operations using thermal-cutting equipment such as flame-cutting torch or plasma-arc equipment. Must often grind, flap disc, weld joint before welding together.

Inspect welds to ensure conformance with specifications.

Meticulous attention to safety and product quality.

Overtime work as assigned.

Minimum high school diploma/GED equivalency.

Prefer candidates who have certification in flat mild steel in MIG ANSI/AWS D1.1-96 (will be recertified at Morse when ready).

Must be able to work within a team of production welders.

Must be able to measure with a ruler and read shop drawings.

Prefer experience in lean manufacturing techniques and methodologies.

Computer familiarity.
