Production Tech

SUMMARY

Under general supervision of a Shift Supervisor or Department Supervisor, incumbent will prepare the tooling set ups on the machines to meet customer specifications--to ensure that the speed of the machine, load and output are accurate.  Records and reports discrepancies both in writing and verbally to supervisor and/or quality assurance personnel.

Ability to:

1.       Read, understand and use a measuring tape effectively

2.       Read, understand and use a caliper/micrometer effectively (desired, but not required)

3.       Read and follow customer specifications for set ups.

4.       Read and follow directions in both written and verbal form.

5.       Enter data into Epicor ERP system.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

1.       High School Diploma or equivalent desired but not required.

2.       At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, desired but not required.

3.       Previous Machine Operator experience in an expanded metal or similar work environment preferred.

4.       Previous or current experience with Epicor.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

·         The ability to speak, read and understand English.

·         The ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, software manuals, safety manuals

·         The ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

·         The ability to speak clearly and communicate well with customers, co-workers, superiors and the public.

Location: Airport Area

Schedule: 6am - 2:30pm Mon - Fri

Must Own Tools and must be able to read measurements.
