TST Fab & Machine, a premier defense contractor, is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee our fabrication shop in Norfolk, VA. This role demands a dynamic leader skilled in planning, scheduling, and maintaining the highest standards of production. The ideal candidate will have a strong manufacturing background, with experience in naval welding programs and a demonstrated capability in implementing lean manufacturing principles.

Friday 7am – 11am

Job Responsibilities

-       Demonstrate our Core Values of Safety, Accountability, Good to Great and All In

-       Oversee daily operations of the fabrication shop ensuring that production schedules, quality, and cost objectives are met.

-       Develop and implement detailed plans and schedules to maximize efficiency and productivity.

-       Manage and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of production processes.

-       Enhance manufacturing operations through the integration of ISO standards and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

-       Monitor and evaluate workflow and assembly methods and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

-       Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

-       Collaborate with engineering and design teams to streamline production phases.

-       Provide leadership, guidance, and training to production staff.

-       Forecast needs and manage procurement of materials and equipment.

-       Regularly report on production status and progress to senior management.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

-       Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

-       Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role within a manufacturing environment.

-       Experience with Naval Welding (Nav Weld) programs is highly desirable.

-       Strong knowledge of ISO quality standards and experience in an ISO-regulated environment.

-       Certified Lean Six Sigma practitioner, with proven track record of implementing successful process improvements preferred.

-       Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

-       Strong leadership and decision-making skills.

-       Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

-       Proficient in the use of ERP systems and MS Office Suite.
