Work Schedule: Wed, Thur, Fri, Sat / 1:30pm-6:30pm (20 hours per week)

Pay Range: $20.06-$27.93 per hour (DOQ/DOE)

About the Company
The Healing Lodge of the Seven Nations is a residential treatment facility for adolescents (13- 17 y/o) and outpatient clinical care. The Healing Lodge treatment program integrates traditional, spiritual and cultural values with chemical dependency and mental health counseling to create a holistic approach toward healing. Residents include both Native and non-Native youth from all areas of the country.
About the Position
Under the supervision of the Kitchen Supervisor you would perform the following
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare meals and snacks according to planned menu
- Clean, sanitize and organize work areas, equipment, utensils and service station
- Serve residents, staff and guests in a professional, efficient and friendly manner
- Prep dining areas and kitchen for next shift by cleaning and restocking
- Clean machines/appliances used in the kitchen
- Maintain inventory and stock levels of food items and paper supplies and unload/store deliveries
- Added tasks as assigned
Physical Demands:
- Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Frequent reaching, stooping, kneeling, or carrying of equipment and materials
- Walking and standing on quarry tile floors
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and fumes
- Must have full function of hands and finger and able to handle knives and serving items
- Must have ability to verbally communicate and have proficient hearing
- Job requires close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must have a current State Food Handler's Permit
- Serve Safe Certification preferred
- One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience operating kitchen equipment and cooking utensils in a food service facility
- Experience and/or training working with at-risk adolescents preferred
