Job Title: Production Assistant
Position Summary:
The Production Assistant provides entry-level administrative and clerical support to the Production Team. This role is crucial for maintaining organized production records, assisting with basic documentation flow, and ensuring general office efficiency for the Production Department. The Production Assistant will also assist with initial data entry and learn foundational processes within the company's ERP system (SAP). This is a full-time, on-site position based in Lloydminster, Alberta
Qualifications:
High School Diploma.
0-1 years experience in a clerical or administrative support role
Experience in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.
Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
Ability to perform basic data entry and maintain accurate records.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to provide a clean driver's abstract.
Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform general office duties to support efficient department operations such as filing, scanning, photocopying, and organizing production-related documentation (e.g., work orders, safety sheets, QA-QC).
Assist the Production Team with basic data entry for production records, material usage, and work order status updates.
Coordinate the preparation and distribution of packages and internal documents.
Support the coordination of shop floor documentation and liaise with production leads for basic administrative needs.
Learn and assist with basic material tracking and inventory view functions within SAP.
Run and distribute standard, pre-configured reports from SAP as directed.
Help coordinate the flow of materials or paperwork between the office and the warehouse/shop floor.
Assist in setting up and preparing new files, folders, and documentation templates.
Serve as a point of contact for routine administrative inquiries directed to the Production Team.
Engage with team members to assist with tasks as needed.
All other tasks and duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
This position is based on-site at an active manufacturing facility. The role requires interaction with production and operations personnel, and movement throughout the shop floor environment. The incumbent should be comfortable working in proximity to manufacturing equipment and adhering to all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Working Hours:
Normal working hours are 8 working hours for each working day, between 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday-Friday with a 30 minute lunch break. Employees are expected to start work no later than 8:00 am weekdays.
