As SCADA Application Specialist, you will implement and maintain our SCADA and related software for our Distributed Energy Resources.  Your expertise will contribute to a more sustainable and resilient energy landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to capture and assess SCADA requirements
  • Design, develop and maintain SCADA systems based on Inductive Automation Ignition, including the configuration and development of HMI and DH functionality
  • Research, test and evaluate upgrades and enhancements of SCADA software applications
  • Develop process and procedures to ensure smooth, efficient and repeatable DER site onboarding and support operations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SCADA issues 
  • Work with project teams, develop estimates on new product requests or projects requiring software development
  • Provide technical direction to SCADA project teams on solution architecture, new technologies, and best practices in addition to sprint planning, retrospectives and code review

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining SCADA systems
  • Knowledgeable in configuring and developing Inductive Automation SCADA software in the renewables industry
  • Knowledge of SCADA telemetry standards
  • Familiar with Python and/or Jython
  • Strong desire and ability to learn new technology at a rapid pace
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
