Produce Clerk

Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for maintaining the produce department and offering support to the Produce department manager.  

Job Duties include but is not limited to:

·       Provide customer service by assisting customers with any produce orders such as fruit trays.

·       Filling orders for future pick-up dates on a timely basis

·       May be required to build displays as requested by management

·       Make sure the department is stocked with fresh product

·       Could be asked to complete some light cleaning and sanitizing within the department

·       Cut and make fresh pre-packaged fruit bowls

·       Properly handle and place inventory as it is delivered to the store

Works with:

·       Store Managers

·       Department Managers

·       Customers

Physical Demands

·       Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

·       Must be able to safely handle raw products

·       Must be able to cut fresh produce

·       Must be able to be on their feet for an extended period of time

·       Must have use of hands and fingers to handle or feel, and must be able to reach with hands and arms

Education and Experience

·       High School or G.E.D.
