Probate Attorney
Stone Arch Law Office has a full-time position for a highly organized applicant who possesses strong communication and procedural skills to join our growing firm as a probate attorney. As a probate attorney you will conduct paid client consultations and determine whether you and the firm can represent the client, create plans for representation, and represent the client with proactive follow-up and clear communication. This role is highly independent and reports directly to the managing partner.
If hired, this position will receive numerous firm clients, though partnership track involves successful business development through professional networking. Salary is $130-150K plus bonuses determined by firm revenue and performance.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform a wide variety of functions including (but not limited to):
- Represent clients in probate and light litigation/disputed matters
- Represent acting and successor trustees of family trusts in their trustee duties
- Review and finalize court filings as drafted by staff
- Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs and goals
- Cultivate relationships with the firm's existing and future clients by maintaining consistent and timely communication
Job Qualifications:
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school
- Active MN law license
- 2 years of probate and estate administration experience desired
- Experience with dispute resolution, probate, elder law, MA benefits, special needs planning, or litigation a puls
- Highly proactive approach to professional work and relationships
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Strong emotional intelligence and excellent interpersonal skills
- Motivation to grow professionally, financially, and personally
- No portable files or existing client book necessary
