Pro-Shop Associate

Salary Range: $19 to $21 hourly

The Pro Shop Associate is an important role internally and is one of the many areas where we connect with our members around what we all love: racket sports!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES  & RESPONSIBILITIES

Developing our online shop through Shopify

Creating and executing sales programs in line with other club events

Producing and updating sales reports

Contributing content to club newsletters and e-communications.

Ability to explain tennis, squash and athletic products and services.

Racquet stringing (will be taught if no prior experience).

Works with Tennis and Squash Professionals in setup and execution of special events, and sales.

Communicate with new and existing suppliers to source new products and order replacement stock.

Ensure pro shop is stocked of merchandise in a presentable way.

Meets and greets all guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.

Professional and clear communication to assist members selecting services or equipment.

Undertaking account transactions and receiving payments.

Counting monthly inventory and doing regular spot checks as requested

Receiving and pricing new inventory

Maintains good personal hygiene, reports to work wearing a clean, neat attire that follows standards.

Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Prior racquet sports related experience preferred. Other sports experience would be ideal.

Retail and/or merchandising experience is an asset.

Ability to string or learn to string racquets for tennis and squash.

Excellent Communication skills required.

Excellent listening and comprehension skills required.

Positive interpersonal skills required.

Ability to work well under pressure and coordinate multiple tasks.

Ability to lift 25lbs and bend while performing work duties.
