Printing Operator - 2nd Shift (5pm - 3am)
DATAMARS Inc, a leading global supplier of integrated product solutions in livestock management, animal health delivery, pet identification and reunification and textile identification, is seeking an experienced Printing Operator in Temple, TX.
Job Summary
The Printing Operator performs the efficient processing and printing of livestock industrial tags using laser ink jet machines. The duties are performed under the direction of a department lead.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform multiple tasks with relevant print technology and equipment within an assigned shift according to the daily job schedule.
- Perform proper machine start-up and shut down, operates machines as required, documents and reports equipment issues immediately to Shift Lead.
- Utilize data entry skills with Word and Excel to perform daily tasks.
- Check and verify printed output against sample, ensure quality of work being produced.
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Shift Lead or Printing Manager.
- Troubleshoot job problems or failures and seek assistance as needed.
- Complete Job Tracking Logs, Production Logs, and other required paperwork.
- Communicate any issues that impact normal processing schedules to the Shift Lead and/or Printing Manager.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required per the preventive maintenance (P.M.) charts.
- Moves inventory to and from staging areas
- Accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance regarding machine set-up.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Engage with all employees in a positive and respectful manner.
- Consistent attendance and adherence to shift requirements.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of consecutive work experience.
- One year of experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred.
- Proficient in basic data entry skills; Excel experience preferred.
