Monday through Friday 7 am-3 pm

Pay: Starting at $19.00 per hour 

Responsibilities:Food Preparation & Quality
  • Prepare ingredients for daily meals, including chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and portioning proteins.

  • Follow standardized recipes and dietary guidelines that support resident health, special diets, and culinary satisfaction.

  • Assist in the preparation of soups, sauces, baked goods, salads, and other menu items as assigned.

  • Maintain the high culinary standards of Juniper’s H’art & Soul of Dining program — emphasizing scratch cooking, fresh flavors, beautiful presentation, and hospitality.

Kitchen Operations

  • Properly label, store, and rotate food using FIFO standards to ensure freshness and safety.

  • Keep prep areas clean, sanitized, and organized in accordance with state, local, and Juniper standards.

  • Assist the Cook or Chef with cooking tasks during peak periods.

  • Set up and break down workstations efficiently.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control protocols.

  • Adhere to dietary restrictions and physician-ordered meal modifications for residents.

  • Maintain compliance with Juniper’s Green Canopy sustainability practices when handling supplies and waste.

Teamwork & Culture

  • Support a warm, resident-centered environment by engaging kindly with residents and team members.

  • Communicate effectively with the culinary team to ensure smooth service.

  • Participate in ongoing training

Requirements:

A High School Diploma and experience in culinary arts or food service.

Knowledge of volume food preparation.

Knowledge and ability to operate food service equipment.
