Pre-Fabrication Technician - Weekend Shift

Job Title: Pre-Fabrication Technician

Position Summary: To process, cut to length components, from defect free aluminum pipe.

Regular Hours: Friday - Sunday, 6:00am - 6:30pm (Work 36 hours and paid for 40!) 

Pay Rate: $14 per hour depending on experience. *Weekend shift employees receive an additional .50cent shift differential*

"XPTO": In addition to company provided paid time off, starting day one employee can earn up to 60 hours of paid leave within in a one-year period.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

• Inspect pipe for visual defects.
• Log all defected pipes.
• Set up saws and saw pipe length within print tolerances.
• Layout and mark pipe for bend locations.
• Operate a variety of metal working tools such as saws and benders; possible use of a forklift truck.
• Continuous 5S practice within department.
• Conforms to all plant policies and procedures.
• Obeys and enforces all safety rules.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Ability to accurately measure using a number of different measuring tools.
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools, CNC bender, tape measure, forklift and metal working tools.

Conditions and Equipment:

• Standard plant environment with heated interior in the winter but can see temperatures over 90 degrees in the summer.
• Needs to use a variety of hand tools, CNC bender, metal working tools and forklift.
