PPA Legal Assistant

Mission:
The role of the PPA Legal Assistant is responsible for processing payments and scheduling recurring payments. This position will also help review and set up new payment agreements received in each state the firm operates in.
Outcomes:
- Process one time payments and setup recurring payments pursuant to payment agreements
- Review and setup signed payment agreements or Stipulations
- Assist with moving files out of broken agreements
- Assist with sorting incoming mail
- Assist with outgoing mail process
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Education, Formal Training, or Certificates:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associates degree or above preferred.
Experience:
- Previous experience in the legal industry preferred
- Previous experience in the collections industry preferred

- Exhibits a high standard of personal performance and excellence by completing assigned tasks quickly, correctly, and efficiently with minimal follow up from the Collection Manager
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel required.
Working Environment:
- Majority of this position will be in a professional office environment.
- Sitting – 80%, Standing/Walking – 20%.
- Will type, write, use finger dexterity, talk, hear, and see (up close and moderate distances) as a normal part of job duties.
- Will occasionally need to lift up to 50 lbs.
