1. Responsible for applying a layer or layers coating to a product to protect it from the

elements and/or make it more aesthetically appealing.

2. Prepares surfaces, cleans, product, and applies coating.

3. Apply coatings to various shutter products and/or hardware.

4. Prepare surface using sand or ground surface.

5. Correct imperfections or roughen surface.

6. Carefully cleanse product to remove dust and dirt.

7. Dip metal parts in chemical baths to prepare surface.

8. Cover portions of product with tape and paper.

9. Spray products with coating solutions.

10. Fill the machine's tanks with a mixture of powder or chemicals, adding prescribed

amounts of solution.

11. Adjust nozzles on the spray guns to obtain the proper dispersion of the spray.

12. Hold or position the guns to direct the spray onto the article.

13. Check the flow and viscosity of the powder.

14. Check product for flaws, bubbles, or imperfections.

15. Regulate the temperature and air circulation in drying ovens.

16. Maintain equipment.

17. Observe and adjust gauges.

18. Use spray gun to apply touch-ups.
