Police Officer - Charlton, MA
The Charlton Police Department is currently hiring for a Police Officer. We are looking for a highly motivated, proactive, and community-oriented Police Officer for an opening in the department. Applicants must have completed MPTC Full Time Police Academy or a Post Approved Bridge Academy. Must be POST compliant. Charlton is a non civil service police department.
Duties: A Police Officer works under supervision to perform law enforcement duties, protecting life, property, and the civil rights of individuals. Primary duties include patrol; interacting with citizens to provide service and render assistance; preparing and completing records, reports, and other paperwork documenting incidents for use in prosecution. A Police Officer is dispatched to crime and emergency scenes in response to reported violations, accidents, domestic disputes and abuses, and other incidents; carries out crime scene duties; makes arrests and performs search and seizure; conducts investigations; and interviews witnesses, suspects, and complainants.
* Salary - $63,350.00 - $94,900 (depending on years of service, education and shift)

* Vacation time - Previous years of full-time service in another Town will be counted towards additional vacation time (up to 10 years of service and a max of 4 weeks)
