Elbow River Casino is seeking a skilled and experienced Poker Pit Boss to join our team to oversee the operations within the Poker Room. To assure that the
poker room is running smoothly, supervise poker dealers, ensure that proper
procedures are followed, and open and close table games.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with guests/employees.
- Be a great team player and exemplify outstanding guest services, to both internal as well as external guests.
- Observes problematic guest behaviors or discrepancies, and reports to Manager/Supervisors as required.
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and company policy's & procedures are met.
- Complete cash and chip transitions for players.
- Maintaining waiting lists includes opening and closing of poker tables when needed.
- Fill empty seats at tables when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to spend long periods of time in constant motion.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong leadership qualities, including conflict resolution, initiative and decision making.
- Ability to multitask and handle a high-volume workload.
- Sharp mathematical skills to add and multiply numbers quickly and memorize repeated numerical combinations.
- 1-2 years of demonstrated experience in Dealing Poker
- The candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- The ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record Check and receive a AGLC Gaming License
- AGLC Anti Money Laundering Certificate
