Summary of the Role: The Area Director of oversees Sales and Marketing is responsible for the strategy, tactics and programs to create interest, demand and recognition for the Renault Winery and LBI National and its diverse revenue centers.  This position is also responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, training, and managing all sales functions to achieve the company objective of sales, growth, profits, and visibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote and portray the VIVÂMEE Values.

  • Establish the creative approach and provide creative insights and leadership across all touch points of the Wedding category.

  • Understand the target market segment(s) and sales plan (by segment, year, and month) for achieving the established sales booking goal.

  • Build and implement the site inspection process, which delivers an exciting and memorable visit that is also comprehensive and understanding to the client's needs.

  • Solicit Group, and Business Transient, Banquet, and other business directly and in collaboration with others through the preparation, execution, and completion of action plans. As well as maintaining existing relationships.

  • Direct and manage all group, transient, and catering/banquet sales activities to maximize revenue for the resort.

  •  Prepare, implement, and compile data for the strategic sales plan, annual goals, sales and marketing budget, forecasts, and other reports as directed/required.

  • Collaboratively develop rate strategies, group ceilings and deployment through a thoughtful review of competitive data, demand analysis and mix management.

  • Oversee the development, design and timely updates of all wedding packages.

  • Oversight of all marketing and promotional activities to include brand marketing, digital advertising and social media platforms.

  • Develop and recommend prospective accounts, third party meeting planners, and Company Group Meeting accounts from free market information as well as purchased lead sources, analysis of statistical information.

  • Participate in trade shows, conventions, and promotional events within the hotel, industry, and customer organizations.

  • Prepare, construct, present creative customer proposals, and negotiate contracts on the resort's behalf upon closing, coordinate and follow up with the other resort departments to ensure delivery of Intentional and Personalized guest service.

  • Conduct outside sales calls to deliver new business and maintain existing business relationships.

  • Actively participate in sales presentations, property tours and customer meetings.

  • Prepare, implement, and compile data for the strategic sales plan, annual goals, sales and marketing budget, forecasts, and other reports as directed/required.

  • Collaboratively develop rate strategies, group ceilings and deployment through a thoughtful review of competitive data, demand analysis and mix management.

  • Actively participate in sales presentations, property tours and customer meetings.

  • Conduct/attend daily business review meetings, weekly strategic sales meetings, management meetings and other meetings as required/requested.

  • Manage & direct all marketing, public relations, and promotional activities for the resorts.

  • Recruit, direct, manage, train and counsel sales staff. 

  • Demonstrate a commitment to Vivamee Hospitality operating principles and philosophies.

  • Professionally represent the resort in the community, industry organizations and events.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, in hotel administration, business, or marketing preferable.

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Sales Management, Catering, Events or related field.

  • Strong leadership, dynamic personality, excellent interpersonal skills, a reputation for integrity and proven role model

  • Experience in marketing and running a marketing team.

  • Experience focused on the Resort style business units, wedding and events, restaurants, rooms, golf

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience: Successful hospitality sales track record. Previous hospitality sales management experience, as well as experience in budgeting and business planning.

  • Technological:  Proficient computer skills.

  •  A track record of successful customer service

  • Thorough understanding of marketing strategies and practices.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work weekends/holidays/evenings.

  • Ability to work outdoors

  • Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask.
