Heather Hill Healthcare Center is looking for a reliable and hands-on Plant Operations Assistant to join our team full-time. In this vital role, you’ll help ensure our facility remains safe, clean, and fully operational so our residents and staff can thrive in a well-maintained environment.

This is a great opportunity for someone with basic maintenance, repair, or facility services experience who is dependable, proactive, and enjoys working behind the scenes to make a difference.

• Assist with general maintenance tasks including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC support

• Conduct routine inspections of the building and grounds to identify safety or repair needs

• Help maintain equipment, tools, and storage areas in safe working condition

• Support facility cleanliness, emergency preparedness, and infection control measures

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and leadership

• Assist with seasonal tasks such as landscaping, snow/ice removal, or storm prep (as applicable)

• Prior experience in building maintenance or facility operations (healthcare setting a plus)

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, or mechanical systems

• Ability to lift/move heavy objects and perform physical work in various conditions

• Strong communication skills and team-player attitude

• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow safety procedures

• Must meet all local health and background requirements
