Pickleball Pro / Coach

Job Overview: The Pickleball Certified Pro / Coach will be responsible for teaching and coaching players of all skill levels and all ages and maintaining a safe and positive playing environment.  The successful candidate will have a passion for the sport of pickleball and possess the skills and knowledge necessary to teach and develop players of all ages and abilities.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Provide private and group lessons to players of all ages and skill levels, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels
• Develop and implement training programs tailored to individual player needs and goals
• Maintain and update player records, including attendance, skill level, and progress
  
• Ensure that all equipment is in good condition, and maintain an inventory of equipment and supplies
• Provide excellent customer service to players and members, including responding to inquiries and addressing any concerns
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the pickleball programs
• Create and maintain a safe and positive playing environment, enforcing rules and regulations, and resolving conflicts as needed
• Stay up to date on the latest trends and techniques in the sport of pickleball, and continuously improve coaching skills and knowledge

Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in sports science, physical education, or related field preferred
• Must have a certification to teach Pickleball by a recognized pickleball organization (e.g. PPR, IPTPA)
• At least 3 years of experience coaching pickleball or similar sport, with a proven track record of success
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with players of all ages and backgrounds
• Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage tournaments and events and oversee staff and volunteers
• Knowledge of pickleball rules and regulations, as well as experience with equipment and maintenance
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

 Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to move quickly around the facility to assist members and guests.
