Employment Type: Full-time, On-site
Compensation: $260,000 – $300,000 per year
Contract Length: 6-month base contract with four optional 1-year renewals (6-mo + 4 OY)
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Veterans Engineering (VE) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physician (Hospitalist) to join the healthcare team at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS). Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient management for patients admitted to the internal medicine service, including both teaching and non-teaching teams.
- Supervise and assist Internal Medicine Residents in patient care and medical education
- Deliver internal medicine consultation services to other hospital departments and medical teams.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, innovation, and academic research opportunities within the hospitalist program.
- Performs other duties as appropriately assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed.
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
· Preferred Experience: 3-5 years of practice is preferred.
