Since 1995, the mental health specialists at Nulton Diagnostic and Treatment Center have provided effective, compassionate behavioral health care to children, adolescents and adults.  Our experienced team includes board-certified psychiatrists, licensed psychologists and other professionals specially trained to diagnose, treat and manage behavioral health conditions.

Position Description:

We are looking for Physician Assistant to join our Team!

Nulton Diagnostic & Treatment Center is accepting applications for a full-time Physician Assistant to work within our collaborative model to provide quality care for our clients.

Principal Responsibilities of the Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) will include:

1.       Obtain, evaluate and record mental health histories

2.       Perform mental health assessments

3.       Order necessary testing (labs, EKG) for routine and acute mental health care

4.       Analyze and interpret data to establish appropriate treatment planning

5.       Initiate necessary referrals/consults to specialists and other health professionals/services

6.       Educate individuals regarding mental health related matters including treatments, medications, diet and other issues as required

7.       Provide management for acute and chronic mental illness under the direction of the supervising physician

8.       Prescribe necessary mediations, as authorized by law and with the limits of the written Physician Assistant agreement, to remit/resolve patient mental health problems/symptoms

9.       Provide services to pediatric, adult and geriatric patients

10.     Adhere to supervision requirement as governed by a written Physician Assistant supervision agreement

Education, Qualifications, Experience, Skills, and Training:

(a)  The Physician Assistant will possess a valid license issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and will maintain all requirements for licensure

(b)  The Physician Assistant will not be on the Medicare/Medicaid exclusionary list

(c)   Must possess an active DEA number

(d)  Minimum of 1 year experience in outpatient psychiatric services

(e)  Pass all required background checks

(f)    Must have the ability to work in a team environment

(g)  Must have strong verbal and written communication skills

Candidate must be able to obtain Act 33, Act 34, Act 114 clearances.
