About BROC:

At the Baton Rouge Orthopedic Clinic our goal is to provide a seamless continuum of health care services to maximize patients’ outcomes and convenience. We offer an organized and coordinated continuum to provide better and timelier feedback between the patient, physician, and ancillary services provider. Our main campus is located on Bluebonnet, but we have various clinics and therapies across the state of Louisiana as well as the BROC foundation that supports local schools and athletic programs by providing services throughout various communities.

Summary:

This position will work directly with our Physical or Occupational Therapist at our therapy and hand centers. We are looking for individuals or students who would like to advance their knowledge in the flow and function of a therapy clinic. To be a successful PT Tech you should enjoy helping people, be detailed oriented, and convey compassion. The hours range from 7-12 and 1-5 Monday – Friday. We are willing to work with your school schedule! 

Duties:

· Assisting patients with light exercises during physical therapy sessions

· Maintains the flow and function of the clinic and equipment

· Clear and constant communication with the therapist

· Cleaning and preparing treatment areas and equipment before and after each session

· Recording patients’ progress for the therapist

· Restock of clinical and janitorial supplies

· Understands and follows OSHA and HIPPA rules at all times

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· In school for or have interested in PT/OT (preferred)

· Reliable form of transportation to work daily

· Ability to pass a drug screening

· Ability to learn computerized medical office work
