Physical Therapist Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY--PRN Physical Therapy Assistant 

We are an inhouse therapy company that staffs 3 facilities in Broward county.  We are looking for a licensed PTA assistant to assist with the implementation of treatment programs and plan of care as directed by the licensed Physical Therapist.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS 

1.       Reports to the Staff Physical Therapist.

2.       Supervises Rehab Technicians.

3.       Works at maintaining a good rapport and cooperative interdepartmental relationship with all resident care personnel; demonstrates a team attitude.

4.       Consistently develops a therapeutic relationship with the resident; maintains a proper perspective between personal and professional affairs.

5.       Inspires confidence from residents, visitors, family and staff by performing and communicating in a highly professional manner at all times. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

Education:      Graduate of an approved school of physical therapy assistants and eligible for licensure in the state in which the program is located. 

Experience:    Prior experience in long term care setting preferred. 

Knowledge/Skills:     Must possess good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with all persons and disciplines. Must be of good moral character and have sincere desire to work with residents, staff, visitors and family members.
