Petroleum Field Service Technician

Location: Colorado - Based in Denver - Flexible on location - We would like techs to live within an hour of Denver. Techs only need to come to shop to stock truck and attend monthly safety meeting 

Summary:

The Petroleum Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting electro-mechanical components, completing installations and emergency repairs.

Responsibilities: 

• Conduct maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial and retail fuel dispensing systems and associated equipment at customer sites
• Respond promptly to after-hours emergency service requests in an on-call rotation
• Exhibits professional demeanor and promotes goodwill between the company and customers by providing a superior level of customer service. 
• Complete online and classroom training courses, including regular re-certifications

Compensation: 

• Hourly rate: $25-$36 (based on experience) + Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, etc.)$25 per on-call shift, regardless of call-out     
• Company-provided work truck for take-home use
• Paid travel time and company fuel card
• Overtime available; Technicians average 50-60 hours per week
• Company will pay to maintain certs 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED Required and one to three years mechanical and electrical experience in similar environment
• Experience or certification in equipment such as Gilbarco, Wayne Dispenser, Gasboy Fleet, Passport, Veeder Root, Verifone, etc. PREFERRED but not required
• Knowledge of point-of-sale systems like cash registers, receipt printers, card swipers, barcode scanners, self-checkout kiosks PREFERRED but not required. 
• Proficiency in using a multi-meter for electrical troubleshooting REQUIRED
• Willing to consider candidates new to the industry with strong troubleshooting skills in related fields like HVAC, electrical, industrial mechanical, security systems, avionics

Personal Requirements:

• Must pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
• DMVR check required; Class A CDL is a HUGE plus, but not required
• Flexible work hours, including participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation twice per week and once every 6th weekend
