Promoting corporate values and shaping a positive culture is a vital role of the People and Culture Specialist. The People and Culture Specialist will be responsible for recruiting, screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees. The People and Culture Specialist will also handle employee relations, payroll, benefits, and training.  The People and Culture Specialist will also collaborate and provide compensation and benefit plans and strategies to the leadership team.

You will be responsible for:

 The People and Culture Specialist is critical to our success and will drive value added talent solutions including but not limited to:

  • Recruiting and hiring
  • Onboarding
  • Performance management
  • Workforce planning- a strong bench
  • Recognition programs
  • Employee engagement
  • Employee life and wellness
  • Maintains best in class benefits including 401(k) plan
  • Processes bi-weekly payroll
  • Compliance with applicable federal and state HR requirements, conducts investigations, and maintains proper records
  • Conflict resolution

The People & Culture Specialist will provide coaching and guidance regarding HR in areas such as policy and procedure while developing trusting relationships with leadership and employees.

This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer and will serve to ensure HR strategies are aligned to support the vision and objectives for the Company.

You will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field
  • Skills related to interpersonal communication: listening, speaking, and writing
  • Excellent decision-making skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound judgment
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of labor and employment law, organizational development, and best practices

In addition, People and Culture Specialist must practice confidentiality, empathy, integrity, and objectivity.
