People and Culture Assistant

Edmonton, AB Full-time $24.00/hour

Overview:

The People and Culture Assistant will support the People and Culture Coordinator with administrative tasks and functions in areas such as employee files, all parts of the employee lifecycle and other administrative/technical tasks.

The primary activities and tasks of the role are as follows:

• Assisting with recruitment, onboarding and offboarding

• Supporting performance management system

• Creating and maintaining accurate, up to date and complete personnel files

• Preparing reports as required

• Create/update templates, policies and processes as necessary

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required. Applicants with post-secondary education related to human resources will be given preference.

• Experience in administrative roles similar to human resources is preferred

• Basic knowledge regarding labor laws and/or employee/employer rights and responsibilities at time of interview is required.

• Ability to provide a clean police information check is required

• Valid certificate of adult first aid with CPR level C is required

• Valid class 5 driver’s license and personal vehicle with 2-million-dollar liability insurance is preferred

Required Skills:

• Highly proficient in English Language skills including verbal communication, written communication, and comprehension.

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

• Strong attention to detail

• Moderate computer literacy

• Familiarity using computer programs such as spreadsheets, documents, templates, databases
